A little about the puppies
We love our Basset Hound puppies as each one comes into this world I am present to help momma welcome them and to make sure each is healthy and all needs are met. My mommas are amazing they love their puppies and take great care of them. I am always present in case of emergencies and to assist in any way they may need. This many times means I am usually up and awake during the birth anywhere from eight to forty eight hours depending on labor. After for at least the first week I am not far from them in case of any emergency that may arise. Having great mommas means thankfully there are very few emergencies.
At about four weeks old I start to ween the puppies from their mommas milk to mush, soften kibble then to kibble right before they go to their new families. This is a fun, busy and very messy stage but I love watching them grow and develop their individual personalities. I also at this stage start their deworming series and between six and seven weeks they all get their first immunizations. At Eight weeks they are old enough and able to join their new families.
